Digital transformation in local public services - buzzword or business opportunity?
The era of austerity has been extremely challenging for local public services organisation, and the financial pressures show no sign of abating. Further reductions are on the horizon, but changes to funding models will also add financial risk. To compound matters, the demand on services continues to grow at a time of shrinking budgets and financial uncertainty.
It is against this backdrop that many organisations are turning to digital transformation as a means to help optimise processes, improve efficiency and enhance interactions with local residents and service users. But while there is a general consensus that digital is the way to go, it still means different things to different organisations, which is why we are seeing such varied approaches across the country.
In this subscriber-only webinar, Kable analysts will share insights from their most recent research on the subject, with particular focus on the key drivers, challenges, and priorities and approaches to digital change in local government and emergency services.
