Recent consumer trends support the rise of remote research and direct-to-patient clinical trials. Globally, 3.5 billion people access the internet at home and the number of people accessing healthcare information online is rapidly increasing. The number of smartphone users worldwide is rapidly increasing, and expected to grow from 1.6 billion in 2014 to an anticipated 2.9 billion by 2020.
It is not surprising that CROs and Sponsors are exploring remote research methods to meet enrollment goals, or that digital recruitment programs have become the go-to solution. Digital's wide reach makes it ideal for attracting and enrolling study candidates into clinical trials.
Using technology to support digital patient recruitment allows much desired precision in targeting patient populations and advanced analytics to track candidates from first contact through enrollment at the site. Technology supported recruitment programs allow the opportunity to gather feedback direct from the study candidate and can also improve conversion rates, resulting in decreased costs and increased speed.
As enrollment complications rise, it is important we do all we can to convert the existing study candidate pool to active clinical trial participants. Technology-enabled recruitment methods have the greatest potential for helping reach recruitment targets and reduce the risk of referring unqualified participants.
Supporting the investigational site through out the patient identification process is the key to success. Adding a technology partner to your patient recruitment strategy has shown to boost enrollment speed and conversion rates beyond what individual sites and traditional methods are capable of.
During this webinar, the topic of referral management will be addressed. The speakers will address key considerations when selecting a technology partner to support remote research and direct to patient recruitment. Engagement at the site level to ensure a "warm hand off" to improve the conversion of digitally identified study candidates to valid study participants will be addressed. Best practices to support the patient journey, key criteria for the selection of a technology partner, as well as, patient privacy matters will be covered. The webinar will showcase forward looking digital recruitment tactics.
Each day a program is delayed costs the sponsor hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in operational and lost opportunity costs. The inability to achieve enrollment deadlines is a primary cause of trial delays.
Register today for this webinar on referral management and remote research. Learn from industry experts on important technology advancements, and direct-to-patient remote research methods to support the important process of patient recruitment and engagement for clinical trials.
