Lessons Learned by Two Leading International Companies
Is your company in a growth phase and looking to expand to the United States? Hear from leading international companies who have recently completed successful expansions and learn about the key criteria you should consider in selecting a U.S. location for your operations.
Deloitte Consulting’s world-wide network of professionals has helped thousands of companies with location decisions. Although every project has its own considerations, there are key location evaluation criteria you should know and Deloitte will introduce these in the beginning of the webinar.
Quebec City-based Medicago recently opened the doors to their 97,000 square- foot vaccine production facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, after a whirlwind 8 month construction timeline. Find out how they were able to find a location and get their cutting-edge facility up and running in a very short time frame.
In December 2011, Swiss drug maker Novartis and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration dedicated a 430,000-square-foot vaccine manufacturing facility in Holly Springs, North Carolina. This full-scale commercial production facility took more than 3 years of planning and $1 billion of public and private investment. Plans for expansion at the site are already underway. Learn about the challenges of bringing a large-scale, long-term project to fruition with insights from Deloitte.
What are the key criteria to look for when selecting a U.S. location?
- What did Medicago and Novartis, with headquarters outside the U.S., experience as each evaluated site options, selected the right location, then constructed, validated and opened these new facilities?
- What challenges did Medicago and Novartis overcome, what surprises did they encounter (positive and negative) and what lessons have they learned along the way?
All this and more will be discussed in this webinar featuring Mike Wanner, of Medicago USA and Matt Szuhaj, of Deloitte Consulting.
The intended audience is comprised of C-level executives, as well as VP and Director level professionals with responsibilities in the planning, operations and management of R&D and manufacturing facilities within the US, Europe and Asia.
