Waste heat recovery applications in Oil & Gas plants
Potential for exploitation of waste heat in the Oil & Gas sector would allow the installation of multi-tens of GW of fuel free power generation systems.
ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) technology is a proven and efficient technology to convert waste heat into power. Typical sizes are below 10 MW, highly suitable for distributed generation and self-production systems. ORC technology allows to have a simple, reliable, flexible upon load and almost unmanned plant.
Presentation includes: ORC technology basics, ORC technology advantages (also as compared to steam Rankine cycle), Turboden company profile and references, Oil & Gas applications for waste heat recovery by means of ORC with case histories and technical solutions detail, economics.
ORC is a breakthrough technological solution to increase the overall efficiency of Oil & Gas sites, allowing to generate power exploiting unused waste heat streams. While offering attractive economical returns, the adoption of such solutions will help making the Oil & Gas companies image greener and their footprint more environmentally sustainable.
