A holistic solution to bulk filtration, filling and cold storage
At the bulk filling stage of your downstream bioprocess, you have already invested significant resources in its production, purification and concentration and its value is high. The filtration and dispense of the bulk drug product is, therefore a critical operation but there are challenges during this process that can impact on product quality and safety. From a process perspective a manual, open process can lead to deviation, product loss and potential contamination. From a containment perspective, there is a need to protect the product as it moves through single-use manifolds and containers and to ensure that sealing remains integral even in challenging process conditions. This webinar will present Parker’s solutions to these challenges.
We will begin by introducing the SciLog® FD (Filter and Dispense) system, for filling of biopharmaceutical bulk drug product. This automated and enclosed system prevents manual errors that can lead to potential product loss and contamination, as well as ensuring operator safety when working with potent biologicals.
We will then examine single-use manifolds in more detail to discuss how Parker’s overmolding solution can eliminate traditional push-in connections for fluid management and generate a secure and reliable container solution for product filling. Finally, we will present our unique sealing technology which gives validated integral bottle sealing even at -80°C.
Participants will see how Parker’s varied technology profile and industry expertise can combine to provide an innovative and holistic solution for bulk fill, meaning your product is maintained in the safest environment all through this process when it is at its most valuable and concentrated.
